Sunday 2nd April 2017
9 – 4pm – £50
“There are two parallel tasks in spiritual life. One is to discover selflessness, the other is to develop a healthy sense of self. Both sides of that apparent paradox must be fulfilled for us to awaken.” – Jack Kornfield
The day will begin with a challenging dynamic led Ashtanga class combining elements from primary and second series. After lunch there will be a period of contemplation/journaling followed by restorative yoga. There will be several periods of meditation interspersed throughout the day to allow you to drop into stillness.
In our contemplation we will consider questions such as what is the Self? How does the atheist relate to the Self? We’ll explore various ideas about the ego (ahamkara) in relation to spiritual practice and dispel some common misconceptions with the intention of helping you to relate to these concepts.
Expect to leave feeling uplifted, centred and inspired.
Please bring veggie/vegan lunch to share, a notebook and a pen.
