Ashtanga Eco Retreat in France 2024

France, Picardie | June 26, 2024 – July 2, 2024

Price: £730-£1175

Bedroom at The Mill Retreat Centre, Picardie France

Overview

Come and spend a magnificent week with us delving into practice, connecting with old friends and making new ones!

Venue

The Mill Retreat Centre is set in 30 acres of stunning grounds. With a spectacular ten-acre lake, a beautiful river running underneath the centre and views of enticing woodland. 5 acres of the grounds are dedicated as a nature reserve to aid in vital conservation work, helping to ensure the continued survival and protection of many local species. All combine to make the Mill Retreat Centre a natural paradise for people and wildlife alike. Your free time can be spent swimming or boating in the lake, exploring the grounds on foot or by bike (available to hire, including tandems and electric bikes), bird-watching or letting yourself unwind next to the sparkling river. The mill makes use of hydro-electricity and is self-sufficient in energy, in fact, it is carbon positive, as it makes more than it produces. *Check out their website to see photos!*  http://www.millretreatcentre.com/

Room Preferences

Please note 2nd floor Attic bedrooms do not have curtains or blinds on the skylight windows as they are too numerous and high up, but all other bedrooms (on the 1st floor) do have curtains, and the centre does provide eye masks if wanted for attic rooms. If you already know someone you would like to share with, let us know and we can make sure you’re together. Also, let us know whether you want a double or twin beds.

Food

The food will be delicious local seasonal and organic vegetarian food (including vegan options). This includes 2 or 3* delicious healthy meals per day plus tea/coffee, fruit, snacks, home-made cakes and biscuits to help yourself to during the day. Do let us know if you have special dietary requirements so we can pass this information to them closer to the time. Packed lunch is available for your journey home on Tuesday 2nd. * We are debating whether brunch and dinner would work better than 3 meals – will confirm soon.

Travel

The Mill Retreat Centre is surprisingly easy to get to. If you’re travelling from the UK, it’s only a 3 – 5 hour journey from London by train and car.

Mill Retreat’s Private Minibus

The centre also provide our own private private minibus pick-up service for up to 16 passengers (they can arrange travel for larger groups if there is lots of demand for the minibus). This will leave from East Croydon train station in London and take us directly to the centre (cost from London is £95 return per person). Book your place for the minibus by emailing Joey/Rachel and we’ll reserve your space – we expect this option to book up, so let us know sooner rather than later. Info on other travel options here.
